Job Description

We are supporting a Semi-Government entity in Abu Dhabi in their search for an IT Manager to lead and develop the organisation’s technology function.

This is a managerial position within a structured, service-led environment, offering the opportunity to oversee core IT operations while supporting the organisation’s long-term digital strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring technology services are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead the organisation’s IT function across infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and end-user support.

-Oversee the day-to-day delivery of IT services, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and operational excellence.

-Drive digital transformation initiatives and identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and technology capabilities.

-Develop and implement IT policies, governance frameworks, and best practices to support business continuity and security.

-Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers, ensuring quality delivery and value.

-Lead, mentor, and develop a small internal IT team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

-Partner with business stakeholders to align technology initiatives with organisational priorities and future growth.

Requirements

-Proven experience leading enterprise IT operations across infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and service delivery.

-Strong background in managing IT teams, technology vendors, and operational support functions.

-Experience delivering digital transformation initiatives and improving technology capabilities.

-Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership.

-Previous experience within government, semi-government, or other highly structured organisations is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to create user-centered designs.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Design and prototype user interfaces for web and mobile applications using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
  • Develop responsive front-end code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and optionally frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular).
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs during implementation.
  • Maintain design consistency across all platforms and products by adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness, navigation flows).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and contribute to design and development sprints.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer and Developer.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and front-end development work.
  • Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and prototyping tools.
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, or Angular) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
