Job Description
We are supporting a major government institution in the UAE in the appointment of a Director – Digital Transformation. This role will lead the organisation’s digital transformation agenda, overseeing the design and execution of large-scale programmes that modernise services, enhance digital capabilities, and accelerate the adoption of new technologies across the institution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the digital transformation roadmap, driving cross-functional digital initiatives, and ensuring programmes are delivered with strong governance, stakeholder alignment, and measurable outcomes. Key focus areas include digital strategy development, operating model redesign, technology-enabled transformation, and building internal digital change capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading major digital transformation programmes within large organisations, ideally gained in top-tier management consulting firms. Exceptional stakeholder management, strategic problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. UAE Nationals are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to create user-centered designs.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Design and prototype user interfaces for web and mobile applications using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Develop responsive front-end code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and optionally frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular).
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs during implementation.
- Maintain design consistency across all platforms and products by adhering to brand guidelines.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness, navigation flows).
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and contribute to design and development sprints.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 2+ years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer and Developer.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and front-end development work.
- Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and prototyping tools.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with front-end frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, or Angular) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
