We are supporting a high-growth organisation in the appointment of a Head of Finance to lead and build out the finance function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director, with full ownership across financial modelling, forecasting, treasury, and overall business performance. The position is highly commercial in nature and goes beyond traditional accounting, focusing on driving insights, supporting strategic decisions, and building a scalable finance function.

Key Responsibilities

-Own and continuously refine the organisation’s financial model, including marketplace dynamics and liquidity economics

-Lead budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, and scenario planning, providing clear visibility on business performance

-Manage treasury, cash flow, and liquidity planning, ensuring financial discipline and efficiency

-Develop and monitor unit economics and key performance metrics, translating financial data into actionable business insights

-Partner closely with risk and credit teams to assess portfolio performance, financial exposure, and overall business impact

-Design and implement finance systems, processes, and internal controls to support scalability and governance

-Oversee financial reporting and support regulatory, audit, and institutional requirements

-Engage with investors, banks, and senior stakeholders, providing strategic financial insight and supporting growth initiatives

-Contribute to capital allocation decisions, performance management, and long-term financial strategy

Candidate Profile

-9+ years of relevant experience, including 3–4 years in a leadership role

-Background within fintech, lending, financial marketplaces, payments, or similarly complex financial environments

-Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability, with a strong attention to detail

-Proven experience in treasury, cash flow management, and liquidity planning

-Strong understanding of unit economics and business performance drivers

-Experience operating in regulated or control-heavy environments

-Demonstrated ability to build and scale finance functions, including systems, processes, and governance frameworks

-A hands-on, high-ownership mindset with strong commercial acumen and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
