We are partnering with a government institution in the UAE to recruit a Director – Data & Analytics, a pivotal role responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s data vision. The role will oversee enterprise-wide data governance, the development of advanced analytics capabilities, and the adoption of data-driven decision-making as a core organisational competency.
Responsibilities include establishing data management frameworks, improving data quality and accessibility, and driving the deployment of modern analytics platforms and tools. The successful candidate will also work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities where data and insights can enhance service delivery, operational efficiency and long-term planning.
We are seeking an experienced data leader with deep expertise in data strategy, analytics, governance, and emerging technologies. Experience within large-scale organisations, ideally in the public sector or regulated industries, is highly advantageous. UAE Nationals are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to create user-centered designs.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Design and prototype user interfaces for web and mobile applications using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
- Develop responsive front-end code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and optionally frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular).
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs during implementation.
- Maintain design consistency across all platforms and products by adhering to brand guidelines.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g., responsiveness, navigation flows).
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and contribute to design and development sprints.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 2+ years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer and Developer.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and front-end development work.
- Proficiency with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and prototyping tools.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with front-end frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, or Angular) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
